Do I need to add country code and area code while making a call?
Yes, to make a long distance call / local call from dial pad, dial phone number along with country code followed by area code. Also please ensure that contacts are saved with appropriate country and area codes before dialing contacts.
Are the rates the same when I place calls from my mobile phone versus my home phone?
Yes, both are same call rates when you call from mobile phone and landline phone.
Are there any additional charges or surcharges?
- If you call from a public payphone in the UK, there is a 90p surcharge PER MINUTE to cover charges imposed by the payphone operators, as of 10th September 2014.
- If you call the 0800 249 4470 Access Number, there is a 1p surcharge PER MINUTE to cover charges imposed by operators.
- If call the Access Number from a mobile phone, some mobile operators may charge you to call 0800 numbers or 0845 numbers, so it is generally cheaper to call the 0330 or 0203 Access Number and use your bundled minutes (If you are on a plan). If you are on a PAYG (Pay As You Go) rate or out of bundle minutes, then you will be charged your network landline rate. Please check with your mobile network provider to get the correct rate.
- If you call any Access Number from a hotel phone, we have no ability to influence additional call charges imposed by the hotel itself. Please check with your hotel on these charges prior to making a call

Why do some countries have a higher rate to call a mobile phone within that country?
In some countries mobile users do not pay to receive a call on their mobile phone. This is known as calling party pays. Mobile carriers therefore charge more to the calling party to connect the call.

What is Country Code?
The country code is a two or three digit codes used for international calls.

The area code is a three digit number (ex. 212) that precedes the destination number.

Your card will become inactive on the stated expiration date. Any remaining card balance will not be refunded.

This is a local telephone number for particular areas. This number is used as an access number for certain prepaid calling cards. Local Access Numbers are used to reduce costs and provide better rates for customers.

– This is the best access number to use when you have inclusive/bundle minutes from either your mobile provider. This allows you to make use of your inclusive/bundle minutes and take advantage of the best rates Yellow Talk Card has to offer.
– Please note, once inclusive minutes have been used, your mobile provider will charge you for dialing this number.
– All 0330 numbers are treated the same as 01/02 numbers by mobile providers
LOCAL ACCESS 0203 135 0611
– This access number is generally used when you have inclusive/bundle minutes from either your mobile or fixed line provider thus allowing you to make use of your inclusive/bundle minutes

FREEPHONE 0800 249 4470
– This number is generally not charged when called from a land line
– From a UK mobile starting 07 a surcharge of 1.5p per minute will apply
– All calls made to 0800 access number will be subject to a one off answer charge of 0.35p per call. This charge is effective from 2nd November 2016 and based on new charges brought in by BT Telecom.
– From a payphone a surcharge of 65p applies for all calls. This is a charge that has been imposed by the payphone operators and, unfortunately, something that is beyond our control (from a payphone we recommend that you use the 0330 or 0203 access numbers where possible)

Does your service always work 24 hours a day 7 days a week?
- Yes the service is 24 hours, seven days a week – though no telephony service can offer 100% guaranteed service due to reliance on other telephony companies. We do our best and use quality routes only. We have quality checks in place to help avoid poor quality lines and give you the best possible call experience.

You can register your home, your cell or your work number. Any UK phone number that you will use to make calls with Yellow Talk. Make sure to register phone numbers that belong to 12 you only. Don’t register your work number that is shared by other employees or dorm number that is shared by other colleagues.
What is a Primary Phone Number?
The Primary Phone Number is the main phone number that you wish your account to be identified with account number. We recommended that you activate the phone number that you use most often, and that you will most easily remember, as your phone number. The primary phone number will also be used to retrieve your account information online and when making deposits to your account.
How can I change my primary phone number?
No. You can’t change your primary phone number only. But you can change your other phone numbers.

What is “Quick key” Feature?
The Quick key feature allows you to store frequently dialed numbers and they will automatically be dialed for you. First you create a Quick key list of all the numbers that you call frequently, Dial the access number of the Yellow Talk, when you are asked to enter your destination number, just dial the speed code followed by the # sign. The system will dial the number for you.
What are the benefits of the “Quick key” feature?
It makes your life easier! Using a calling card has never been easier. Just add your frequently dialed numbers to the list and memorize the 2 digits Quick key code. In addition, it offers you a hassle free dialing process. No need to dial a country code, city code and destination number. Just dial the speed dial code and the system will dial the number for you.
Do all Yellow Talk customers support the “Quick key” feature?
At this moment, we only have Yellow Talk “My Account” customers’ support the “Quick key” feature and we are working on adding more.
